The police revealed that the 20-year-old girl was abandoned by suspected terrorists at Mubi in Adamawa State, from where she was picked up. It also confirmed that she was one of the female pupils of Government Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State, abducted in April by Boko Haram.
The girl, identified as Susan Ishaya, was said to be in a sorry state with injuries all over her body, suffering from psychological trauma and signs of physical abuses on her body which the insurgents subjected her to horrible physical and sexual abuses. :(
The Chairman of Chibok community in Abuja, Tsamdo Hosea Abana reportedly confirmed the pregnancy, saying the girl is four months gone. Sources at the Police Clinic in Yola confirmed that she was on admission at the clinic where she received treatment but was taken to the Police headquarters in the morning.
Abana who spoke to Journalists through telephone confirmed that the girl was among the abducted Chibok girls and that she has been moved to Adamawa State Police Headquarters in Yola.
However, a source said the girl might have been referred to a bigger hospital for advanced medical attention.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Michael Haa declined comment on the matter, saying the military has taken charge of security in the state since the declaration of State of Emergency by President Jonathan in 2013. Attempts to speak to the Army Public Relations Officer, Captain Jafaru Nuhu were not successful as his phone was switched off.
