Royal Wedding 2018: Juicy Details + Guest List

The royal wedding ceremony of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry takes place tomorrow, Saturday 19 May, at midday. The ceremony will be watched by Harry and Meghan's family and friends at St George's Chapel in Windsor; it will be followed by a carriage procession and two receptions, including a private one at Frogmore House in the grounds of Windsor Castle.

  • The wedding invitations were printed on March 22, and the couple have kept fairly tight-lipped about their guest list.
  • The Prince and Ms Markle have broken tradition by choosing to hold their wedding on a Saturday, as royal weddings usually take place during the week
  • On Harry's invite list were ushers Tom Inskip and Guy Pelly, it is likely some Army comrades who he served alongside in Afghanistan also made the cut.
  • Prince Harry's glamorous third cousin, Lady Amelia Windsor, reportedly won't be at his wedding to Meghan Markle. The 22-year-old and her siblings didn't get invites to the ceremony or the reception.
  • Meghan's mum, Doria Ragland, will be attending.
  • On May 14, TMZ reported that, Thomas Markle Sr, won't walk his daughter down the aisle because he had been struck down by a heart problem and pulled out of the ceremony after realizing he might be too ill to make the trip.
  • Thomas Markle underwent heart surgery on May 16, and while the operation was "successful", he will not be attending his daughter's Royal wedding.
  • On May 17, Meghan released an official statement via Kensington Palace confirming her father will not be attending the ceremony on Saturday to "focus on his health".
  • All three of Princess Diana's siblings will be in attendance - Lady Jane Fellowes, Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Earl Spencer.
  • Lady Jane Fellowes will be giving the reading.
  • Glamorous girlfriends including tennis ace Serena Williams, Indian actress Priyanka Chopra, stylist Jessica Mulroney and Made In Chelsea’s Millie Mackintosh were believed to have been in the running for bridesmaid duty, but it has since been revealed that Meghan's bridesmaids are all children and she will not have a maid of honour.
  • Protocol normally means that royal brides do not have adult bridesmaids, although Kate’s sister Pippa Middleton was an obvious exception to this rule.
  • At the very least, we expect to see a few of Meghan’s cast mates as guests at the wedding – as well as fashion designer Misha Nonoo, who’s thought to be the woman who set her and Harry up.
