I was soooo... excited working on this post even though it took me forever to publish, I know this will be helpful to somebody.
Back in the old days, the Iro and buba was formally worn by the older women of south- west in Nigeria but guess what??? the graciously fashionable younger ladies have stylishly modernized it and have totally nailed it!. It's now worn as a tulip style wrap, tied in front, at the back or side. Nowadays the buba has shifted from the regular round neck, long sleeved and free size top to more sophisticated forms e.g. the off shoulder buba, the cape buba, the fitted short sleeve buba, the cowl neck buba, sweetheart neck buba etc.
