In case you missed it Giuliana Rancic made a racist remark about actress Zendaya. The E! correspondent said when discussing Zendaya’s dreadlocks on the Oscar’s red carpet “I feel like she smells like patchouli oil,” followed by, “maybe weed?”
Giuliana issued a apology- “Dear @Zendaya, I’m sorry I offended you and others. I was referring to a bohemian chic look. Had NOTHING to do with race and NEVER would!!!”
Rancic’s apology didn’t seem too sincere, and yes Rancic is still being dragged online-
Since then co-host of Fashion Police Kelly Osbourne has threatened to quit. Osbourne took to twitter to clarify the remarks made about Zendaya during the E! Fashion Police. Kelly Osbourne first says she doesn’t want to be dragged into the drama and did not make the weed comment about Zendaya during E! Fashion Police post-Oscar episode. She tweeted you guys do realize that @Zendaya is my friend right?”
“I DID NOT MAKE THE WEED COMMENT. I DO NOT CONDONE RACISM SO AS A RESULT OF THIS I’M SERIOUSLY QUESTIONING STAYING ON THE SHOW! Im giving everyone involved 24 hours to make it right or the world will hear how I really feel. contractually Im not allowed to speak!
Lets see how this plays out. Hopefully Rancic has learned her lesson….So glad Zendaya spoke up for herself and her locks.
