YEPAYEYE’S MARRIAGE
Yepayeye carefully chose her husband, the highly-rated, intelligent Chief Emmanuel Yekorogha Robert -tall, dark, athletically-built, handsome and silky white- haired man. It was said that Yepayeye was encouraged to marry him, amongst swam of suitors, by her stepmother, Abebh, so that her children would inherit his intelligence. And Yepayeye was sold to that logic because of her love for education. She longingly wished that her children would inherit how to read and write and become revered, educated people.
