Grieving Thais Line Streets to Mourn World's Longest Monarch

The death of the world's longest monarch has left Thailand's 67 Million people in shock.

Thousands of mourners lined the streets in Thailand's capital Bangkok today to see the body of their king being moved, as the nation grieved over his death.

People dressed in black sheltered under umbrellas on the route to the riverside Grand palace form the hospital where beloved Bhumuibol Addulyadej, 88- who reigned for 70 years- passed away.

The government has declared a year-long official period of mourning and today is an official holiday. Flags will fly at half mast for the next 30 days.

Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn, 64, is expected to be the new monarch but requested a delay in succession.
