Russian Whistleblower Allegedly Poisoned by Fav. Veg. soup

A Russian business man, Alexander Perepilichnyy, 44, who collapsed and died while running near his high security £3million St George’s Hill home in Weybridge , Surrey ,in November 2012 could have been poisoned with a vegetable planted in his soup after he helped an investigation into an alleged £155 million tax fund, an inquest has heard.

His stomach contained traces of a compound matching the atomic weight of a rare and deadly vegetable poison that could have been switched with the herb sorrel, which is popular in Russian soup.

Lawyers have said that the business man could have been targeted because he helped an inquiry into an alleged tax fraud. Questions have also been raised about whether the father-of -two had lost money for investors or fallen out with Russian gangsters.

Giving evidence, His widow Tatiana said that she did not think his death was suspicious and denied any knowledge of him having any problems with gangsters or criminals.
