Former President Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama have signed a multi-year agreement to produce films and series for Netflix, the streaming service announced Monday in a tweet.
The Obamas will be working in front of but mostly behind the cameras for the multi-year deal. The content will include both scripted and unscripted series, docu-series, documentaries and features.
Netflix said in a statement that the content will be available to its 125 million members in 190 countries.
Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
The first project by the Obamas is expected in 2019.
