CNN Plot Thickens: Not Backing Down over Sexual Allegations Against Morgan Freeman

80-year-old Hollywood royalty, Morgan Freeman through his lawyer issued a statement demanding CNN apologize and retract its exclusive scoop where eight women have accused him of harassment and inappropriate behavior one of whom is CNN entertainment reporter Chloe Melas who interviewed him for CNN at a press conference for the movie Going in Style in 2017.

Chloe Melas, said her own encounter with Freeman, when she was six-months pregnant, prompted her to produce the piece. She said that during a press conference for the 2017 movie "Going in Style," Freeman looked her up and down and said "Boy, I wish I was in there."

CNN issued a statement stating its position to stand by the exclusive scoop it published.

“The unfounded accusations made by Mr. Freeman’s lawyer are disappointing and are difficult to reconcile with Mr. Freeman’s own public statements in the aftermath of the story, CNN stands by its reporting and will respond forcefully to any attempt by Mr. Freeman or his representatives to intimidate us from covering this important public issue.”

Freeman, has denied the allegations of any wrong doing but admitted to having made some people feel uncomfortable throughout his career.
