Tiara fever is everywhere and no one is immune as everyone wants to bring their inner dreamy princess theme to life thanks to the Meghan Markle sparkle and the real OG, Princess Diana Effect.

The Spencer tiara is actually made up of other pieces of jewelry. The central part of the tiara was given as a wedding present to Lady Cynthia Hamilton (aka, Diana’s grandmother) when she married Albert, Viscount Althorp, the future 7th Earl Spencer, in 1919. The topper was given to Cynthia by Albert’s great aunt, Lady Sarah Isabella Spencer, who died later that year.The ends of the tiara are said to have come from a sparkler once belonging to Frances Manby, the last known Viscountess of Montagu. Diana's mother and sisters all wore the diamond headpiece on their wedding days too, and it still belongs to the Spencer family.

Meghan Markle’s incredibly gorgeous diamond center-stone adorned filigree tiara was her ‘something borrowed,’ like Kate, who was also loaned a tiara – the Cartier Halo Tiara - by The Queen when she married Prince William in 2011.

Before Kate and Meghan however, British royal brides had always worn tiaras belonging to their families.

For her marriage to Prince Harry on Saturday 19 May, Meghan wore tiara lent to her by the Queen; Queen Mary's diamond bandeau tiara. The diamond bandeau is English and was made in 1932, with the entire brooch dating from 1893
