SUNDAY SERMON: Purpose and Destiny Pointers by Dr. Paul Enenche (DIGC)

ANCHOR SCRIPTURE(S): ACTS 13:36

OBJECTIVE: To unravel pointers for purpose and destiny fulfillment. God is a God of plans and purpose

THINGS TO NOTE:
1. God is not confused about man’s purpose and journey on the earth (Jer. 1:5, 29:11)
2. God did not create anybody for experimental purposes
3. God did not create anyone for fun or for the purpose of entertainment (Matt. 10:30)
4. God is absolutely interested and excited in the welfare, success and prosperity of His people (Ps.35:27)
5. God has never failed, does not fail and nothing that comes out of God fails (1John 4:4)
6. God defined and concluded man’s successful end before releasing man to the earth (Jer. 29:11; Isa. 46:9-10)

• Your arrival did not take God by surprise
• God created you not for experiment but for accomplishment
• God is not going to learn anything from your suffering
• Your prosperity is not a burden to God
• There is nothing about your pain that excites God
• Nothing that comes out of God is a failure

PURPOSE AND DESTINY POINTERS: 

1. Passion (Neh. 1:1-4; Exo. 2:11-12; Gen. 1:26-28; Eccl. 12:13)
-Your passion connects you to your portion in life
SCRIPTURAL EXAMPLES OF PEOPLE OF PASSION:
i. Nehemiah (Neh. 1:1-4)
ii. Moses (Exo. 2:11-12)
KEYNOTES ON PASSION:
1a. Your passion is your desire on fire
1b. Your passion is your burden or weight of heart
1c. Your passion is that which makes you to grieve or even weep in response to certain challenges
or situations that require answers and solutions
1d. Your passion is that which renders you restless and almost useless until certain answers or solutions have been provided
1e. Your passion is that which releases in you the drive, energy and enthusiasm for the pursuit of the task.
COUNSEL CONCERNING PASSION:
1. Your passion must fall in line with the Word and the Will of God for your life
2. Your passion must follow Divine strategy and timing for successful result

2. Affection (2Chron. 26:5,10; Gen. 40:1-8; 1Sam. 16:17-18; 1Chron. 23:5)
-There is a connection between your affection and your destination
-It is what you love that attacks your lack
-What you love doing is your link to what you are to live doing
-What you love doing connects you to your lift in life
SCRIPTURAL EXAMPLES OF PEOPLE OF AFFECTION:
i. Uzziah (2Chron. 26:5,10)
ii. Joseph (Gen. 40:1-8)
iii. David (1Sam. 16:17-18; 1Chron. 23:5)
KEYNOTES ON AFFECTION:
2a. Your affection refers to what you love doing for the joy it brings to you
2b. Your affection refers to what you do for satisfaction and not for remuneration
-Those who live for money end up in mourning
2c. Your affection refers to what you will gladly be doing with your life if you have all the money you needed in life
2d. Your affection may appear like work for others but it is for you more like a hobby not a duty
COUNSEL ON AFFECTION:
1. Ensure that your affection is in line with that which is godly, pure and righteous (Isa. 52:11)
2. Ensure that your affection is directed towards that which is profitable both to God and man (Acts 20:35)
- Every self-centred affection is destruction in the making.

3. Potential (Gen. 40:1-8; 41:14; Dan. 2:26 )
-Your potential is key to your destiny
THINGS TO NOTE:
i. Your gifting is key to your lifting
ii. Your potential is foundation for your possibilities
iii. Your endowment is platform for your assignment and accomplishment

KEYNOTES ON POTENTIAL:
3a. Your potential is your self-discovered natural talents, giftings or endowments
3b. Your potential is that which you do so effortlessly and naturally that you may attach no value to
3c. Your potential is that which others may point out to you because it is so effortless you didn’t notice it
3d. Your potential is that which you do effortlessly without a formal training whereas others struggle to do it even with formal training.
COUNSEL ON POTENTIAL:
1. Never abandon your potential once it is discovered, it should be developed and taken to the highest level through training
-The temptation of talent is self-abandonment by talented people
-It is an abomination to be talented and stagnated
2. Utilize all talents and potentials to the Glory of God and profit of mankind

4. Revelation (Hab. 2:1-2)
SCRIPTURAL EXAMPLES OF PEOPLE OF REVELATION :
i. Joseph (Gen. 37:5-11)
ii. Moses (Exo. 3:1-11)
iii. Paul the Apostle (Acts 26:12-19)
THINGS TO NOTE:
i. Revelation is doorway to manifestation
ii. Revelation brings elevation (Gal. 2:2)
iii. Revelation brings transformation (2Cor. 3:18)
iv. Revelation brings acceleration
v. Revelation is the guarantee of destination(Hab.2:3)
KEYNOTES ON REVELATION:
4a. Revelation are God originated dreams and visions of
the night that point to life’s dream and assignment (Dan. 2:19)
4b. Revelation come in form of trances and vision in te daytime (Hab. 2:1-2)
4c. Revelation come as light and insight from the Scriptures (Jer. 22:29; 1Sam. 3:21)
4d. Revelation can flow in the course of listening to the Word (Isa. 30:20-21)
COUNSEL ON REVELATION:
1. Ensure that you go to God to double check all revelation (Ps. 62:11; Matt. 18:16)
2. Beware of external revelations (1Kings 13:18-24). Don’t let anybody intimidate you with prophecy.

5. Impression
THINGS TO NOTE:
i. The impressions of your heart is connected to the expressions of your life
ii. The impressions of your heart can be
your escape route from the depressions of life
SCRIPTURAL EXAMPLES OF PEOPLE OF IMPRESSION :
i. Moses (Acts 7:23)
ii. Paul the Apostle (Acts 18:5)
KEYNOTES ON IMPRESSION:
5a. Impressions refer to the thoughts, feelings or sensings that come into the heart occasionally
or persistently towards a certain course of action
5b. Impressions are compelling convictions unto definite actions that are deemed necessary or critical
5c. Impression also comes in form of mental images and pictures
COUNSEL ON IMPRESSION:
1. Impression must be double-checked with God for confirmation (Matt. 18:16)
2. Ensure that God directs your step and course of action (Ps. 37:4-5)

6. Wisdom
THINGS TO NOTE:
i. Your wisdom is key to your freedom
ii. Your wisdom is doorway to your stardom
iii. Wisdom connects you to your kingdom (Gen. 41:39-40)

i. Daniel (Dan. 5:11)
ii. Joseph (Gen. 41:39-40)
KEYNOTES ON WISDOM:
6a. Wisdom refers to the possession of workable, creative, innovative and inventive ideas (Prov. 8:12)
6b. Wisdom refers to the possession of breakthrough world-dominating ideas (Prov. 21:22)
6c. Wisdom refers to the possession and provision of answers and solutions to generational questions and challenges (Dan. 2:46)
6d. Wisdom refers to the realm of excellence, expertise and insight on assignment
COUNSEL ON WISDOM:
1. Continually draw wisdom both from the Word of God and the Spirit of God (Jer. 8:9; Matt. 7:24; Job 32:8; Isa. 11:1-2)
2. Continually submit your wisdom to the Wisdom of God for productivity (Gen. 41:15-16; Rom. 9:16; Dan. 2:26-28). Never rely on your strength; it is subject to failure (Rom. 9:16)

CONCLUSION:
1. The destiny of man is with God (Gen. 1:26-28)
2. Living for God’s purpose is living to fulfil destiny (Eccl. 12:13; Isa. 43:21)
-If you are in the service of your Master, you are not permitted to be stagnated

IMPARTATION PRAYERS:
I make demands on the apostolic and prophetic mantle upon my life on the materials in your life. ---Every area of your life where your doors have been closed, today I declare the doors are open now in the Name of Jesus. This week God will open to you the highway in the red sea in Jesus’ Name. Every limitation is broken in the Name of Jesus.

• Whatever is in your hands is declared blessed 
• Systems and organizations are coming under pressure to deliver to you what is rightfully yours in Jesus Name
• Every agenda of the enemies is arrested
• The God of open doors opens your doors no
• Every limitation and embargo placed on your life is broken and your expectation shall not be cut short in Jesus Name
• What is in your hands shall do well
• Every red sea standing between you and where you are meant to go is separated in the Name of Jesus Name.

PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS:

• Your hands shall never know begging or borrowing in Jesus’ Name
• You shall receive your portion in Jesus’ Name
• Poverty from your father’s house shall never follow you
• You are in a strange season, everything the enemy has withheld is released today in the Name of Jesus
• Your potential shall not be a waste in the Name of Jesus
• Every limitation on your destiny is over in the Name of Jesus
• There shall be miracles releases this week for you in the Name of Jesus
• Every red sea that stood before you is opened in the Name of Jesus
• The spell of singleness, barrenness, stagnation and joblessness just got broken in the Name of Jesus
• The demonic spirit of wretchedness and empty handedness leaves you alone forever in Jesus’ Name.
• Whatever the devil said you shouldn’t touch, today your hands are released to touch them now in Jesus’ Name.
• There shall be the shaking of the heavens, earths , seas, nation and your supply is released for you
• This week something that you have not touched before shall enter your hands
• A miracle that will happen like a dream is coming your way this season in Jesus’ Name.
• Anything that is yours the enemy has kept back is been released and whatever is yours that was stolen is returning back.
• God will open your eyes to know His plan, design and purpose for your life.
• Every weapon fashioned against you shall never prosper in Jesus’ Name.
• Next level wisdom is released for you.
• Everything that covered your destiny is uncovered in Jesus’ Name.
